Andrew Kitick is in his fifth year as assistant media relations director and his seventh season working in the South Carolina Media Relations Department. Kitick is the primary contact for baseball and secondary contact for football.
Kitick has overseen the media relations efforts at numerous national caliber championships including the 2002, 2003 and 2004 College World Series as well as five NCAA Super Regionals and six NCAA Regionals in baseball.
Kitick, who served his first two years as an intern at USC, worked on staff at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. Kitick was a member of the Communications Team at the baseball venue under the direction of the International Baseball Federation. Kitick also gained experience as publicist in the summer of 2003 for the USA National Baseball Team coached by South Carolina head coach Ray Tanner. He coordinated media relations efforts that culminated with the 2003 Pan American Games.
Prior to joining the staff at USC, Kitick worked as a student assistant for three years at the University of Illinois. While at Illinois, Kitick's responsibilities included game day duties for the Illini football, men's and women's basketball and soccer teams. In 2000 and 2001, Kitick was the assistant contact for women's softball.
A native of St. Charles, Ill., Kitick graduated with a bachelor of science degree in journalism in 2001.
